South Central today is a little more safer then it was back then. ONe thing thats good about South Central is that there are a lot of kids. Another thing that is good about South Central is that they have more protection. A third thing that is good about South Central is that they have nice neighbors that are very helpful. Another thing that is good about South Central is that you get privasy and know one tries to get in your business.

    The first event that has made South Central what it is today is the LA Riots. Their was people rebelling on the cops. Their was fire on buildings and buildings falling apart. Their was also people fighting cops and cops hitting people with ther clubs. They were arresting people that were fighting or trying to set buildings on fire. It is important because they stoped most of the racisim. It gave more liberty to black people.  

    The second even that made South Central what it is today is the WATTS Riots. It was almost the same as the LA Riots. It started because of a man named rodney king who was beat by the police. It also starte becasue of a youg girl named latasha harlings who was shot in the back of the head.Their was burning buildings. Their was people fighting. It ended with the national gaurd just the same as the LA Riots did. It is importan because it changed the racisum of cops now indays cops don’t beat blacks or latinos no more.

    The third event that happend that made South Central what it is today is the crack epidemic. It was a time when the government sold drugs in the ghetto. They sold drugs to their own peopld and what ever money they got from it they would buy wepons to send to nicaragua. They would give the crack to the drug deallers to sell to people. They would also arrest only blacks and latinos because of the crack epidemic. This is important because it taught people not to mess with drugs and what drugs can do to you. Its important because it showed ho crack can distroy families.

    The thing that made South Central what it is todya was all the crazy event that happend. Thier was drugs being sold to their own people by the CIA. Their was building bing burned. Their was also people getting arrested and shot. South Central will change in the future by having more protection. Their will be less gangs. Not that many people will get killed as they did back then.
